I recently visited Cafe Two Shades and I was blown away by their delicious food and wide variety of options. The hospitality was also exceptional and my friends and I have been visiting or ordering from there almost every other day. If you're a fan of mangoes, then you must try their mango mastani - it's absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful dining experience.

Review of Cafe Two ShadesFood:I had the veggie breakfast, which I thought tasted quite nice. Smaller portion size compared to local cafes. The mushroom were inedible as they didn’t seemed cooked. My partner had a cheese and ham panini which was very plain, poorly toasted and with low quality ham. For some reason they added cucumbers on the plate.Waiting timeFor such a small order we had to wait over minutes for it. They also forgot the drinks but was kind enough to bring them over when requested. We went near lunch time so we expected a slightly longer wait but was disappointed after waiting so long.AtmosphereThe atmosphere was very pretty. It was open aired and had a nice theme to the place. Was mainly quiet and nicely placed tables.StaffStaff seemed quite nervous but I believe this was due to new staffing. No real interactions, weren’t particularly friendly but no poor interactions.PricingPricing compared to in the area is lower than average, although in comparison I’ve had better food for less of the price. Still the pricing is budget friendly.Overall reviewMy overall review from the place is /. I would rate this cafe slightly below average. Although I still enjoyed my experience.

We’ve been to this cafe last afternoon & I must admit the food was delicious. Perfect menu to suit every taste bud. Staff was polite and have adjusted the spice level exactly how we needed. We had a big order and was surprised to see it prepared in no time. The staff we saw was wearing hair nets and gloves etc so can vouch for the hygiene they maintained there. Will absolutely recommend this cafe to others and hoping to visit soon. One of the top GEM’s of Colchester.Vegetarian options: All the menu is delicious, my favourite is Dabeli & Franki !

Nice addition to the Colchester cafe scene, with a difference, as the menu includes a large selection of indian dishes. Although to my shame I just went for the cheese and mushroom sandwich which was tasty. Could have done with a larger plate to catch the crumbs mind. Served with a small side of crisps, changing this to salad would be a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful.
